The oil supply chain in Brazil and in the North region of Rio de Janeiro state

Abstract

The text presents an analysis of the importance of the oil industry supply chain in the country and in the Northern region of Rio de Janeiro state. To do so, it performed a synthesis of the technical characteristics of the production and the challenges faced to the implementation of this industry in national basis in Brazil. The entrepreneur picture of the North region of Rio de Janeiro was based in a field research developed by the author that searched to identify the profile of the regional companies and their status of relationship with the region. The text finishes with the presentation of the oil industry investment perspectives in Brazil to the years 2011-2014.
