This study aimed to expand knowledge and promote scientific dissemination on the diversity of bioluminescent beetles (Coleoptera: Lampyridae) in Eastern Amazonia. Specimens were collected in urban and protected areas of Macapá, Santana and Porto Grande, using different sampling and identification methods. A total of 50 individuals were recorded, all belonging to the family Lampyridae, including Amydetes lucioloides, Aspisoma lineatum, Aspisoma sticticum and Photinus marginipennis. Results revealed that Aspisoma species were restricted to urbanized environments, while P. marginipennis was concentrated in forested areas, highlighting the impact of anthropogenic disturbance on distribution patterns. Beyond the inventory, the project developed educational materials, entomological resin samples and itinerant exhibitions in schools and scientific events, aiming to raise awareness on conservation. It is concluded that Lampyridae are valuable environmental bioindicators and flagship species for biodiversity education and conservation programs.Downloads
