Abstract
The patterns are present in nature and can be used in the classroom with activities that allow the observation of regularities. This short course aims to present a proposal for teaching and learning for the development of algebraic thinking through sequences of geometric patterns. In addition, three patterns of remarkable Mathematics are shown: The Fractals, the Sequence Fibonacci and the Gold Number. The didactic proposal is structured in five steps including the presentation of activities and videos. It is intended to sensitize teachers and students to the use of standards in educational practice, making the study of Algebra more significant besides connecting it to other areas of mathematics such as Arithmetic and Geometry.
