Abstract

Rather than a picture can be decoded in any culture that is shown, the role of authorship should be extended to those who give meaning to the photographic image, which gives the Spectator greater relevance than the etymology would give him. Thus, we see that the polysemantic character photography is the result of the cultural repertoire that the Spectator is added or from which emerged the picture, but the way the operator handles these signs is the demarcation of his authorship, as well as the signic tissue built by the Spectator.
