Abstract

Characterized by theoretical and methodological interfaces, research on language and about language in virtual environments has resulted in studies spanning from Computer Mediated Communication to Human-Machine Interaction. This paper presents approaches and techniques used in such studies, as well as initiatives that contribute for the organization of digital collections and linguistic documentation.
