Contemporary (mis)memory in João Gilberto Noll
Keywords:
Experience, Forgetfulness, PostmodernAbstract
The object of this research is João Gilberto Noll’s narrator-protagonist for being such a continuous wandering through space/time, a wanderer who travels the images that he creates. However, the experiences of these travels not add to him, do not interfere his way of acting. If the "low experiences," as Walter Benjamin suggests, is a signal present in contemporary narrative in the midst of chaos, guided by instinct and driven by chance, this guy tends to emptiness, incompleteness. Cancelled by his condition of dispossession, the protagonist experiences make it impossible that he can historiography. The nostalgia of Benjamin in relation to classical narrative is the starting point for analyzing the failure of the experiences of that individual.Downloads
