In the face of global challenges arising from environmental degradation and climate change, it has become essential to rethink the way hospitals are designed, constructed, and operated, seeking sustainable and resilient solutions that minimize environmental impacts without compromising the quality of care. This study aims to discuss how the integration of emerging technologies and sustainability principles can contribute to the development of resilient and self-sufficient hospitals of the future. The research comprises a literature review conducted in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, as well as a theoretical case study of the Al Daayan Health District, located in Doha, Qatar. The project exemplifies key strategies for planning sustainable, resilient, and self-sufficient hospital facilities. It is anticipated that future hospitals will integrate emerging technologies, sustainability, and resilience principles to address global challenges, ensuring operational efficiency and the quality of healthcare delivery across diverse contexts.Downloads
