Currently tons of organic micro-contaminants are released into water bodies through sanitary, industrial and hospital sewage, which has a high chemical load when not treated correctly, causing irreparable changes in the environment. Thus, this article presents a bibliographic study of various adsorbent methodologies used in the adsorption of organic contaminants.
