The geomorphological characteristics of the city of Campos dos Goytacazes allied to urban sprawl promote the degradation and the disappearance of important water bodies in the city. As the Vigário Lagoon and the residents who occupy its margins as the object of study, this article begins the discussion about environmental education activities aimed at the recovery of riparian ecological identity of these communities lead to a change in relation to a degrading ecologically balanced interaction between man and nature.Downloads
