Initial Growth of Species Used in the Recovery of Riparian Forest along das Almas River, Municipality of Ceres, Goiás, Brazil

The riparian forests are vegetations that occur along the banks of the streams. We propose to make a descriptive analysis of the growth of the species used in the recovery of riparian forest along the banks of the das Almas River, in the municipality of Ceres, Goiás, Brazil. This study evaluated monthly, during the period from March through October, survival, height, diameter, number of branches and leaves. The species aroeira and jatobá were considered the most promising. The work points out the need of studies directed to each planting site. Besides it emphasizes the importance of previous care to planting and management to optimize the results of reforestation.Downloads
