Abstract

IF Clothesline is an extension project carried out at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the Southeast of Minas Gerais Campus Juiz de Fora (IF Sudeste MG) since 2014. Its main objective is to provide participants with a new look and a new way consumption of second-hand clothes, through the practice of exchanges. In addition to being sustainable, this practice promotes the circulation of previously unused clothing items, extending their useful life and helping to minimize the socio-environmental impacts generated in the production of new clothes. Participants renew their wardrobe without spending and still contribute to philanthropic institutions and people on the street.
