Abstract

The extension project here presented aimed to develop a free educational application for learning English regarding reading skills. The focus on this skill was the pedagogical core of this app, due to the importance of the National High School Examination (Enem), which demands reading and interpretation of several discourse genres in a foreign language. The project's methodology includes stages of research, practice, dissemination, and evaluation. The application was developed on a free online platform and includes questions from past Enem tests and questions elaborated by the extension team based on the structure of Enem. After its completion, the application was tested by volunteers and students in workshops and disseminated through academic events and social networks. It is expected that the use of this application will contribute to the strengthening of users' linguistic competence.
