Art has always been present in all cultural backgrounds, from the beginning of human history. In Prehistory, in designing in the interior of the cave man decoded their feelings, aspirations and achievements; transforming the aesthetic experience codes liable to be learned and understood by others. Thus, the teaching and learning are part of the art knowledge which involves artistic production at all times. The research developed at that at State University of North Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro proposed to investigate the history of Brazilian art in education based on the mapping done in the scientific initiation from August 2008 to December 2010, which revealed how the training has been carried out initial and continuing teachers who work with Art in the early years of elementary school, teaching practices, and makes a parallel between the legal practices, such as LDB/9394/96 and the National Arts Curriculum. Our research seeks to bring the practices carried out in the Teaching of Art in the early years of the municipal schools and teacher training that works in this segment. For this purpose, we used a quantitative and qualitative methodology, using questionnaires and interviews used in the first part of the research and comparison of these results for reflection for teachers of undergraduate grade in Pedagogy courses from five universities in Campos dos Goytacazes. The research is supported theoretically in Barbosa (1978/2002), Peixoto (2003, 2008), Fusari (2001), Duarte Jr. (1991), Alencar (1990), Vygotisky (2009), Pimenta (2005), Bottega (2007), Brzezinski (2002) between others, while defending the Art field of knowledge and its requirement as an educational instrument able to contribute to increased awareness of self and a vision of the world engaged by more creative interventions that historical moment demands.Downloads
