Analytic Geometry, Linear Programming, Reflective Properties Conic Curves
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to present some topics of Analytic Geometry which are widely applied and considered as "popular" knowledge. The aim is that these topics can be mathematically based at the level of knowledge of the participants. The selected themes are Linear Optimization (or Programming), and Reflective Properties of Conic Curves due to our recent experience in teaching and learning on the subject. The prerequisite for understanding this presentation is limited to an initial experience in Analytic Geometry and Calculus – a beginners’ course completed or in progress on each of these academic disciplines.
