Roots of Polynomials: a geometric approach

Abstract

With the development of new technologies, the study of Mathematics can be done in more dynamic and attractive ways. This mini-course will use Winplot software to help in the geometric interpretation of polynomial roots in activities that allow for the graphic identification of polynomial roots of real coefficients, and the study of their graphic aspect in the borders of their real roots of even and odd multiplicity. The motivation for this work is due to the fact that many textbook authors give little emphasis to the graphic representation of polynomials.
