This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, type of experience report, with the objective of describing the experience of the health education session for adolescent high school students at Colégio Estadual Maria da Conceição Pereira Pinto. The realization of this pedagogical proposal in extensionist health arises from the successful pilot project of health education for students of the Instituto Federal Fluminense. This project worked on themes chosen by the youth audience based on play and art. The playful pedagogical experience in health outside the institutional walls, aroused interest among peers to learn while playing. Marked by originality and guided by recreation, the sessions produced timely knowledge for the acquisition of norms of healthy behaviors. Art and play are facilitators for health education, since it establishes bonds and breaks down barriers that distance health professionals and adolescents with a focus on youth biopsychosocial balance. The student's pedagogical strategy reorganizes thinking and doing health at school, by producing knowledge, preventing risk behavior, in the face of experienced vulnerabilities, and transforming the individual into the protagonist of self-care.Downloads
