Diagnóstico ambiental da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Macabu

Abstract

This article presents a survey of environmental, social and economic components of the River Basin Macabu and highlights the main environmental impacts that affect your water system. To examine the relationship between the components included in this bowl with the problems identified studies published about the object of study were evaluated; conducted field activities; and applied informant interviews, which allowed to identify important issues related to management of watershed issues, which related to the largest natural resource use conflicts; and the various causes of quality degradation and decreased amount of water. Thus, it was concluded that the basin Macabu requires great efforts in the implementation of environmental management with integration of water resources management, which must meet civil society, water users and the government in a joint mobilization to change the current box water, sanitation and the relationship of man with his environment availability, to improve the environmental quality and quality of life.
