In Brazil there is a policy network which is working towards the revitalization of the defense industry. The focus of this article is to analyze an alternative under discussion within this network through a cooperation among South American and European countries. Even though information in this sector is scarce and controversial, the study carried out an analysis of the actors, markets, productive capabilities, main benefits and threats posed by this cooperation. The article indicates the need of a deeper assessment of these potential benefits and the impacts of the Brazilian defense industry revitalization.Downloads
