Abstract

Firstly, this work aims at presenting general considerations about Walter Benjamin’s text, “On the concept of history”. Then we will reflect on the importance of memory in the author’s philosophy of history.

Professora do Instituto Federal Fluminense, onde leciona Inglês, no Ensino Médio; “Linguagem fotográfica e cinematográfica”, no curso de Design Gráfico e “Imagem e memória”, na pós-graduação em Literatura, Memória Cultural e Sociedade.
