Abstract

Ecoacoustics, considered a new Science, studies the sound patterns of an environment through the analysis of the biophonic, geophonic and anthrophony from soundscape, indicating patterns that can be quantified and qualified. An automatic system has been developed in this study to capture and record data at two restinga fragments from Rio de Janeiro, and formed a mini catalog of a primary characterization from the soundscape of the areas studied. This study allowed starting a database for future monitoring of environmental quality in areas of restinga in Região dos Lagos (Brazil), in addition to suggesting the direction for future research.
