Present-day education in Brazil: a market issue

This article analyses some relevant problems within the Brazilian educational system due to the new challenges originated by the economical globalization and by the educational policies implemented in the country, according to the orientations given by international organizations such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Labour Organization and others. This analysis focuses on the discussion of the implementation of Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento e Manutenção do Ensino Fundamental (FUNDEF) and the problems it has created.Downloads
