In the name of the “father”: movements in the dimness of discourse

The study investigated, from the perspective of the French Discourse Analysis, how meanings related to the notion of “father” are socially and historically constructed as well as how they are defined by the influence of ideology on individuals. Discourse data from a survey with teenagers point to different meanings of “father” such as: the family provider, the god-incarnated and/or the distant “father”.Downloads
