Abstract

This article discusses the relation between hermeneutics and praxis. This relation opens a scope for reflection and discussion that has, as a main objective, an engagement in favor of practical reason, in contrast with logical-scientific arguments. Therefore, the objective of the study is to approach praxis as thought by Gadamer, in the light of a basic philosophical aim: his claim of universality for his ontology of understanding.
