Considering that the production of waste generates various types of pollution, this study aimed to verify the final destination of household waste in the city of Ituiutaba, MG. Therefore, an interview was conducted with fifty male and female residents in different parts of the city. In each region, 10 people answered the questionnaire prepared by the researchers. The answers allowed us to observe that in all the 5 municipal regions investigated (except the Northern area), there has been an increase of dry waste over organic waste, and also that the separation of these two types of garbage for selective collection is practiced in all areas, a fact that shows the social consciousness of those who care about preserving the planet.Downloads
