This article presents a bio-inspired artifact project developed within a Design postgraduate course at the University of Brasília. The main objective is to create a sustainable and cyclical product, exploring the concepts of biodesign and bio-inspiration. The methodology employs both theoretical literature review and project research, with the aid of educational tools such as the REC Diagram and the Map of Expressive Categories. The work addresses the relevance of sustainability in design, the particularities of the Brazilian Cerrado and the jatoba, and the application of concepts such as biomimetics in the creation of sustainable solutions. It presents examples of bio-inspired artifacts and culminates in the development of a final product inspired by the jatoba.Downloads
