Abstract

This article aims to describe the application of a discrete event simulation model developed in order to aid the understanding of how mixed electric circuits function. The model was constructed in a free version of the Arena simulation software. The simulated event is commonly found in classes of vocational courses, where the visualization of the subject may facilitate the comprehension of the teacher explanation. Results show the alternatives that a teacher can use to make the subject clear to the students.
