The objective was to identify the floristic composition, to highlight the rare and/or endangered species, to classify in ecological groups, and to evaluate the structure regarding the diametric and hypsometric classes in a Cerrado fragment of Cariri, Tocantins. We measured 2,654 individuals distributed in 34 families, 73 genres, and 81 species. The predominant diametric class of individuals was 2.5-4.3 cm, and the prevailing hypsometric was 4.6-8.2 m. It is concluded that the fragment is composed of predominantly young individuals and the successional index (SI = 1.64) characterizes the population with an ecological succession stage in the transition phase between the initial and intermediate stages.Downloads
