This paper aims at performing a mapping in the literature to identify research related to the use of applications in mobile devices in the area of nutrition as well as the analysis of user profile. We conclude that, although being practical and easy to use tools that may help overcome any difficulties in screening individuals who need guidance and nutritional education, mobile devices with a focus on diet quality are still restricted in the literature. We also observed that the population profile investigated for the study presented favorable characteristics for the development of this kind of application.Downloads
