This paper aims to analyze the curricular changes in the Social Work Course at the Fluminense Federal University in Campos dos Goytacazes (Brazil). The study starts with a reading of the historical process of creation of the course and its relevance in the 1970s, as seen in one of the main local newspapers of the period, as well as the Social Work turning-point process manifested in a debate about the course curriculum and its social direction. As a result of this study, the text presents the reconstruction of the theoretical-cultural memory of the Social Work Course in Campos and the dialogue with the theoretical matrices.Downloads
