.Abstract
Segundo R. R. Allen, “a comunicação serve para cinco objetivos principais: informar, expressar sentimentos, imaginar, influenciar e satisfazer expectativas sociais”. Ensinar uma língua, portanto, não se resume ao estudo de regras lingüísticas, mas refere-se ao desenvolvimento da competência comunicativa, fator indispensável e que justifica a existência dos códigos lingüísticos. No caso do ensino da língua inglesa em um contexto não-nativo, não podemos deixar também de considerar a visão “Cross Cultural” (do cruzamento entre as culturas) que reforça o pluralismo cultural e lingüístico que hoje reveste esta língua, e também norteia toda a prática realizada pelos professores de inglês da Escola Técnica Federal de Campos.Downloads
