Gender domination is present in everyday life. Amid our most trivial activities, the privileged situation of men seem to be something natural, from the lower salary granted to women for equal work to strict moral rules sheltered behind "sweet" standards that say what a "lady "or a “nice girl" should or should not do. Based on an analysis on the choice of the narrative voice in the book The hour of the Star (1977), by Clarice Lispector, this article aims to observe the way the female body is often associated with visions of social inadequacy and inferiority.Downloads
