Brazil has a high potential for electricity distributed generation, based on renewable energy sources of different classes, since the country has a high level of solar irradiation and incidence of winds, mainly on the Northeast coast, the country also has high potential for micro and mini-generation from hydraulics, cogeneration or biomass. Therefore, the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) promoted conditions for the connection of the distributed generation systems, creating means for the consumer to be able to use his surplus energy generated as a discount. Thus, the objective of this paper is to present the measures adopted by ANEEL within the scope of regulations and other legal provisions related to the theme, thus promoting an analysis in the context of the growth of distributed generation units and the associated legal framework.Downloads
