This article is the result of a research which is being carried out at NECEL (CEFET Campos). Its purpose is the study of the presence of rivers in twentieth-century Brazilian poetry not only as theme or landscape, but also as a verbal image that helps define the cultural relations of the individual with continental waters and the different representations of the collective space.Downloads
