Simulation model for Cutting, Loading and Transportation of sugar cane – a case study in the State of Rio de Janeiro

In this research, a simulation model was developed for the cut, loading and transportation system of sugar cane from the cutting stage to a mill located in the north of Rio de Janeiro. The aim of the model was to analyze parameters of the system starting with the loading of sugar cane, since it is influenced by unloading operations in the mill. We evaluated the impact of the unloading time of the sugar cane in the mill and its implications in the cutting, loading and transportation system, considering different scenarios.Downloads
