The purpose of this essay is to present some of the foundations of the verse of contemporary Portuguese author António Ramos Rosa, a keen interpreter of the aesthetical diversity of his time who employs various resources. Rosa handles simplicity, fluidity, cuts, oppositions and tensions with technical skill. Reverence towards the word arises in his verse as a mediator among different scenarios of modernity.Downloads
