Abstract

This article is a compilation from a book by the author – a summary of its central ideas, with the aim of understanding the social relations of Design production in Brazil. These aspects are considered under the analytical assumptions of the materialistic, historical and dialectical method. Such questions seek to broaden public interest in order to consolidate the debate around the theme discussed in this study. In addition, the paper presents analyses related to the subordination of the characteristics of Design, its contradictions, as well as possible digressions from this area under the strategic interests of the ruling classes in its formation.
