Internationalization in Education: the role of Ifal in academic mobility and its impacts on student development

This article presents an excerpt from the author's Master's Dissertation, entitled “Student pathways of international academic mobility: an exploratory study on the experiences of students from the Federal Institute of Alagoas”, defended in 2021 at the University of Minho (Uminho) in Portugal. The study aimed to investigate the international academic mobility experiences of seven students from the Federal Institute of Alagoas (Ifal). The analysis focused on highlighting the knowledge gained and the impact it had on the participants' academic and personal development, as well as identifying how the experiences acquired abroad were shared within Ifal, seeking to understand their effect on both the students and the institution as a whole, although the benefits may not have been uniformly perceived by all.Downloads
