Revisiting the Internationalization of Higher Education in Brazil: Strategies, Challenges, and Development Opportunities

This article aims to provide a critical-explanatory analysis of the internationalization of higher education in Brazil, addressing some of the strategies and policies that have been implemented. It examines the impact of these policies, discusses the obstacles, and rethinks bureaucratic strategies in order to propose openings that facilitate the paths for internationalization to truly become part of the reality for Brazilian education professionals. This work also seeks to clarify guidelines on how to execute the processes for the recognition and validation of diplomas through the Carolina Bori platform. The conclusions suggest the need to improve clarity in the recognition processes and coordination between CAPES, the Department of Education (MEC), and other entities to ensure the effectiveness of internationalization policies.Downloads
