Efeitos do estresse gerado pelo isolamento social e pela discriminação na saúde mental

Este trabalho acadêmico visa examinar os efeitos do isolamento social e da discriminação na saúde coletiva, enfocando suas consequências para o equilíbrio físico e emocional, além do risco elevado de enfermidades e óbitos. Para isso, converteu-se uma análise sistemática da literatura, incorporando pesquisas experimentais em animais e seres humanos, estudos clínicos e abordagens interventivas, utilizando bases de dados como Scopus, Google Scholar, PubMed, MEDLINE e Web of Science. As descobertas indicam que a tensão originada do afastamento, nomeadamente nas etapas iniciais da formação, ativa o eixo hipotálamo-hipófise-adrenal e interfere nos sistemas neurotransmissores monoaminérgicos, glutamatérgicos e GABAérgicos, resultando em mudanças ligadas a vícios, psicoses e perturbações afetivas. Além disso, jovens, pessoas idosas e grupos expostos à exclusão e ao preconceito social demonstram maior propensão a esses impactos. A análise destacou a importância de iniciativas criativas para fomentar a integração social, fortalecer redes de apoio comunitário e expandir ferramentas digitais e telemedicina, com atenção a aspectos de gênero, diversidade cultural e empatia social. Conclui-se que esses achados sublinham a necessidade de investigações futuras para aprofundar o entendimento desses processos e apoiar a criação de diretrizes governamentais em saúde mental.Downloads
