The issue of emerging infectious diseases and their spread is a more urgent topic today than at any other time, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. This work proposes to compare the spread of different emerging, pandemic and epidemic viral diseases. To evaluate the influence of human actions and human behavior in these processes and also characterizes the main vectors in emerging virus diseases. This is done through a wide bibliographic review on the topic, covering publications from the late 1980s to 2020. Anthropic changes associated with intensive agriculture cause vectors to become synanthropic. The expansion in new areas causes entry into niches where new agents can be found. In the extensive pig-duck breeding traditionally practiced in China, two species come into contact, favoring a natural laboratory for new recombinant strains for influenza. In the factor of human behavior, ease of travel, especially international air transport as well as globalization, strongly contribute to the fast spread of diseases. The results of this research reinforce that the emergence of viral diseases is directly related to human behavioral factors and human actions.Downloads
