This article presents the application of a didactic sequence with 9th grade students from two Junior High Schools in the municipalities of Itaperuna and Porciúncula, both in the state of Rio de Janeiro. We addressed the classroom theme “water resources”, using the Problem-Based Active Learning methodology as well as the integration of Art and Science, based on Ausubel's Theory of Meaningful Learning. The work aimed at raising student awareness about the importance of water resources using photographic language. To identify the subsumers, a brainstorming survey was carried out followed by activities with texts, videos and debates. After this, photographs were taken and concept maps were drawn up, culminating in an exhibition for the school community.Downloads
