The present issue of Vértices, v.24 n.2 (2022) is a very special thematic dossier entitled “Research in Technical and Vocational Education and Training: themes, approaches and sources”, composed of twenty-five articles, by sixty authors from eighteen different educational institutions. Prof. Francisco das Chagas Silva Souza, from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), Leonardo Leonidas de Brito, from Colégio Pedro II (CPII), and Natália Conceição Silva Barros Cavalcanti, from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA) organized this thematic dossier, a commemorative edition of the 25th anniversary of Vértices. The articles deal with a variety of topics, which are directly related to the EPT in Brazil, grouped into three axes: 1- articles dealing with the history and memory of the EPT; 2- articles that approach the curriculum in its most diverse facets; and 3- articles that deal with inclusion and some sensitive themes, present in contemporary society and that urgently need to be discussed in school institutions as a whole and in EPT institutions, in particular, given the commitment of this modality to form emancipated subjects who think and act beyond the labor market.
