The first four of the twelve articles in this issue deal with the theme "Ten Years of the Quota Law", which should be brought to the agenda more often, seeking to discuss and debate strategies and actions to eliminate inequalities and guarantee opportunities. We need to work ceaselessly to promote equity and racial rights. One of these advances, which should be celebrated, is Law 12.711/2012, which allowed, over a decade of validity, that male and female students from public schools, low-income, black, indigenous, and people with disabilities to obtain access to public higher education through the reservation of vacancies in federal institutions. The articles that close this edition are from the areas of Education, Literature, Social Work and Wastewater Engineering.
