The thematic dossier "Violência de Estado e política social: entre o aparato assistencial e a criminalização da questão social no Brasil", organized by professors Ana Paula Ornellas Mauriel, Fernanda Kilduff and Mossicleia Mendes da Silva and Fabio do Nascimento Simas, offers us seventeen high-quality works by researchers in the areas of Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, among others, in which they deepen and debate the structural crisis of capital and its particularities in our country, questioning the main responses of the State in the face of the radicalization of the social issue.
