In this issue we have sixteen articles, with nine of them composing the Thematic Dossier section “Thinking and Doing the City: Education and Local Development”, organized by professors Vitor Yoshihara Miano, from IFFluminense Campus Macaé, and Cremilda Barreto Couto, from Universidade Federal Fluminense, and by collaborators Luana Silva Monteiro, from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Darana Carvalho de Azevedo, from the Universidade Federal Fluminense - Niterói, and Elaine Antônio Antunes Passos, from FIOCRUZ. This Thematic Dossier originates from a partnership between the Municipality of Macaé / Observatory of the City of Macaé with the Vértices magazine. Next to our editorial, we have the editorial of the organizers who present the dossier and the articles that compose it. The other seven texts that follow are from the Social Work areas with the texts “The social assistance network for children and adolescents in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil: contributions to the debate” and “Cartographies of conflicts and collective action in Campos dos Goytacazes (Brazil) at the beginning of the 21st century”; Economy with the contribution on the “Fiscal crisis in the municipalities located in the Campos Oil Basin, State of Rio de Janeiro, from 2014 to 2018”; in Biology we have the text “Prevalence of chromosomal mosaicisms in 2,500 cytogenetic studies carried out in a genetics laboratory in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil”; in Engineering, articles in the Environmental area “Use of geotechnologies for mapping and analyzing urban green areas in the municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil”; in the Civil Engineering “Vertical Sealing System on Opaque Ventilated Façade: case study on Brazilian buildings” and; finally, in Electrical Engineering, the review article entitled “Growth of distributed generation in the context of the hydropower crisis in the Southeast of Brazil: environmental and socioeconomic aspects”.
